What Is the UdeM Exemption Scholarship?

The UdeM Exemption Scholarship is a tuition fee reduction program that allows international students to study at UdeM without paying the high international tuition fees. Instead, you’re charged the same lower rates as domestic students, drastically reducing the cost of your studies.

Why Is This Scholarship Offered?

The purpose of the scholarship is to:

  • Attract the best talent from around the world.
  • Support international students throughout their academic journey.
  • Promote diversity on the Université de Montréal campus.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the UdeM Exemption Scholarship, you must:

  • Be an international student (excluding French and Belgian Francophone nationals).
  • Have received an offer of admission to a full-time program from Fall 2020 onward.
  • Be enrolled in an eligible full-time program (excludes short programs, independent studies, and certificates).
  • Possess a valid CAQ and Canadian study permit.
  • Remain enrolled full-time throughout your degree.
  • Not be receiving another tuition fee exemption.

Important: Non-compliance with any of the above conditions may result in revocation of the scholarship.
