UEF 2026 Scholarship Package

The Doctoral Programme of the Philosophical Faculty at the University of Eastern Finland provides international students with valuable support through its Start-up Grant. This grant offers €1500 per month for a duration of two months, totaling €3000, giving doctoral candidates the financial stability to begin their research journey full-time.

The grant is specifically designed to help students initiate their doctoral dissertation work, focus entirely on their research without financial distractions, and develop strong funding plans for securing long-term research support.

In addition to financial assistance, students gain exclusive access to internationally recognized research communities such as BOMOCULT (Borders, Mobilities, and Cultural Encounters) and DIGS (Learning in a Digitalized Society). These platforms open opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration, cultural exchange, and innovative projects.

Furthermore, the programme ensures that doctoral candidates benefit from faculty mentorship and academic guidance, integrating them into a world-class research hub where knowledge, innovation, and international collaboration thrive.
