Istituto Marangoni Riyadh Scholarships 2026 for Fashion Students
Saudi Arabia’s fashion industry is moving from runway talk to real training, real funding, and real career pipelines. For Saudi students who want to enter fashion design, luxury communication, digital media, accessories, branding, or fashion management, the Istituto Marangoni Riyadh Scholarships for August 2026 are now open.
Supported by the Fashion Commission, this opportunity will award 28 partial scholarships to Saudi nationals joining selected 3-year Advanced Training Diploma programmes at Istituto Marangoni Riyadh.
The deadline to apply is 30 July 2026.
Why This Opportunity Deserves Attention?
Fashion is no longer just about sketching pretty outfits and hoping someone notices. Today’s industry needs designers, storytellers, brand strategists, media thinkers, digital communicators, and managers who understand culture, technology, sustainability, and business.
That is exactly where this scholarship becomes interesting.
Istituto Marangoni Riyadh is the first global fashion-focused institute to open in Saudi Arabia. Located in KAFD, Riyadh, it offers vocational fashion education aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and operates under the accreditation of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC).
The institute also brings global fashion-school weight to the table, with a reported 91% employability rate, a #45 QS World University Ranking position, and recognition among the Top 10 fashion schools by Vogue Business.
Scholarship Benefits
The Fashion Commission initiative will support 28 students through partial tuition funding for eligible 3-year programmes at Istituto Marangoni Riyadh. Selected applicants can receive: Up to 30% tuition fee coverage for the full 3-year Advanced Training Diploma programme.
This is not a one-semester “good luck and goodbye” award. The support is designed for the full vocational study period, giving students a clearer route to complete their fashion training with reduced financial pressure.
Programmes Available Under This Scholarship
The scholarship applies to selected Advanced Training Diploma programmes at Istituto Marangoni Riyadh.
- Advanced Training Diploma in Fashion Design & Accessories
This pathway is for students who want to design garments, accessories, collections, and fashion products. Applicants must prepare design ideas showing how a traditional Saudi craft skill can be used or adapted in modern fashion. The project may be presented as a capsule collection of 6 looks or a fashion product line of 12 garments or artefacts.
- Advanced Training Diploma in Fashion Communication & Image
This programme is for applicants interested in fashion media, image-making, visual communication, creative storytelling, and digital fashion content. Applicants must propose how a traditional Saudi craft can be renewed through digital technology, either through visual communication, creative direction, or storytelling.
- Advanced Training Diploma in Fashion Management, Digital Communication & Media
This route is for students who prefer the business side of fashion: branding, luxury communication, digital campaigns, media strategy, and fashion management. Applicants must analyze the communication strategy of a local or international luxury brand and propose an advertising campaign targeting young Saudi customers.
Project Theme: Saudi Craft, But Make It Future-Ready
The scholarship project focuses on the beauty and uniqueness of traditional crafts in Saudi Arabia. But applicants should not treat heritage as something locked in a museum. The real challenge is to show how Saudi craft skills can live inside today’s fashion industry through design, technology, storytelling, sustainability, branding, or digital media.
Strong applications should show imagination, research, cultural awareness, and problem-solving. In simple words: do not just say “heritage is important.” Show how it can become wearable, marketable, visible, and relevant.
Who Can Apply?
This scholarship is open to fashion students who hold a high school certificate or an equivalent qualification. Applicants must be interested in joining one of the eligible 3-year Advanced Training Diploma programmes at Istituto Marangoni Riyadh for the August 2026 intake.
Why Fashion Students Should Not Ignore This?
This scholarship is useful for applicants who want more than a fashion hobby. It is for students who want structured training, industry exposure, and a serious route into Saudi Arabia’s growing creative economy.
The connection with the Fashion Commission also gives this opportunity a practical edge. Students are not only applying for tuition support; they are entering a learning environment connected to the Kingdom’s wider fashion-sector development.
For students who can mix Saudi heritage with modern design, luxury branding, digital media, or fashion business thinking, this is a strong chance to turn creative interest into a professional direction.
