University of the Year Dean’s Scholarship 2026 at University of Ulster

Ulster University has just unveiled a new funding opportunity for international students in recognition of being named the UK and Ireland University of the Year. The University of the Year Dean’s Scholarship 2026 will support talented international applicants who plan to begin their studies in January 2026 at one of Ulster’s campuses in Northern Ireland.

Scholarship Value

All eligible students will automatically benefit from generous tuition fee reductions:

• £1,500 Dean’s Scholarship
• £2,000 International Scholarship

This means a total discount of £3,500 off first-year tuition fees.

For students admitted into selected Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences programmes (including Creative Industries and Communication, Law and Criminology, and TESOL), the Dean’s Scholarship is enhanced to £2,200, bringing the total reduction up to £4,200.

Who Can Apply?

The scholarship is automatic – no extra application is required. To qualify, students must:

• Be classified as an international, self-funding student paying the international tuition rate.
• Hold an offer for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme at one of Ulster’s Northern Ireland campuses (Belfast, Coleraine, or Derry~Londonderry).
• Meet academic and English language conditions stated in their offer.

Who Is Not Eligible?

• Students from the UK or Republic of Ireland.
• Applicants to MBBS, part-time, or eLearning programmes.
• Students applying to branch campuses in London, Birmingham, or Manchester.

The award is applied only to the first year of study and is non-renewable.

Eligible Campuses for Scholarship: Belfast, Coleraine, and Derry~Londonderry.
