Siemens Energy is now inviting applications for its prestigious Graduate Program in Power System Engineering (f/m/d). This early-career initiative is part of the company’s mission to develop the next generation of energy innovators and global leaders.


About the Siemens Energy Graduate Program

This two (02) year, full-time graduate program is designed to provide young professionals with the chance to work on high-impact energy projects while accelerating their leadership development. Participants will undergo three project-based rotations—including one international assignment lasting eight months—and receive personalized mentoring from senior Siemens professionals.

From day one, candidates will be immersed in meaningful roles with exposure to real-world challenges in energy grid transformation, sustainability, and innovation. The program also opens doors to a global network of colleagues, technologies, and industry leaders.


What to Expect as a Graduate Power System Engineer?

Selected candidates will contribute to:

  • Evaluating Siemens Energy Solutions’ interaction with the electrical transmission grid.
  • Designing technical parameters and performing high-voltage equipment analysis.
  • Developing advanced calculation tools in MATLAB and simulation models using EMT tools (e.g., PSCAD/EMTDC).
  • Standardizing project execution tools and procedures across international projects.
  • Collaborating across regional and global Siemens teams.

Who is Eligible to Apply?

Applicants from around the world are welcome—however, this opportunity is specifically based in the USA, and candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored work authorization (Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be considered for internal transfer).

Other key eligibility requirements include:

  • A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Power Systems.
  • Up to 36 months of practical work experience (e.g., internships, student jobs, employment).
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Flexibility to travel and relocate internationally during the program.
  • Preferred background in high-voltage short-circuit studies and grid system interactions.
