The University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in Chengdu has officially opened applications for the Chinese Government Scholarship (Category B – Chinese University Program) for the 2026 intake.

This fully funded CSC scholarship 2026-2027 intake offered by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) now offers international students the opportunity to pursue Master’s or PhD degrees in one of China’s leading research institutions without IELTS and application fee requirements.

  • Master’s Programs: Up to 2 academic years
  • Doctoral Programs: Up to 3 academic years

Instruction is available in both Chinese and English, depending on the program. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must provide HSK Level IV or higher, while those applying for English-taught courses should submit valid IELTS or TOEFL results (or an equivalent English proficiency certificate).


UESTC  Scholarship Coverage

The UESTC China government scholarship is fully funded and includes:

  • Tuition Fee Waiver: 100% covered by CSC
  • Accommodation: Free on-campus housing or accommodation subsidy
  • Monthly Stipend: Master’s students: CNY 3,000, PhD students: CNY 3,500
  • Medical Insurance: Comprehensive coverage worth CNY 800 per year.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the UESTC Chinese government scholarships 2026, applicants must:

  • Be non-Chinese citizens and in good health.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old for Master’s programs.
  • Hold a Master’s degree and be under 40 years old for PhD programs.
  • Meet the academic and language requirements of the chosen program.

Applicants must not be recipients of any other Chinese scholarship.


Application Procedure (Step-by-Step)

Step 1: Visit the CSC online application portal at www.campuschina.org and register an account.
Step 2: Select Program Category “B” and enter the Agency Number of UESTC “10614”.
Step 3: Complete all sections carefully, upload the required documents, and submit your CSC form.
Step 4: Download and save the Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship.
Step 5: Apply again on the UESTC Application System at http://admission.uestc.edu.cn, uploading all required documents including letter of acceptance.
Step 6: Wait for the academic review and selection process conducted by UESTC and CSC.

The application period for the UESTC Chinese government High-Level Postgraduate Scholarship 2026 runs from December 1, 2025, to March 1, 2026.
