You’ll be working under Dr. André Manuel dos Santos Mendes at Coimbra’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, where your mission will be to:

  • Program control algorithms on Xilinx FPGA in power electronics systems.
  • Build a graphical user interface in QT to interact with controllers.
  • Run experimental tests that directly contribute to energy sustainability in maritime power systems.

The Benefits of this Fellowship

  1. Stipend: €1,040.98 per month (plus accident insurance and optional social security contributions).
  2. Location: Faculty of Science and Technology, Universidade de Coimbra, Portugal.

Selection & Requirements

Applicants will be judged 60% on their academic record and 40% on an interview. Strong knowledge of Xilinx FPGA, Matlab/Simulink, and power electronics is a major plus.
